Sending Homework to Your Teacher

  1.  You must do your homework in Microsoft Word!
    1. Do not type your homework onto your e-mail
    2. Do not use another word processing program
  2. Save your file with a name that includes YOUR name (ex.  Sue – Gilgamesh essay)
    1. If you have Office 2007:   

                                                              i.      Click on the round Microsoft logo at the top, left-hand corner. 

                                                            ii.      Choose SAVE AS:

                                                          iii.      Choose  "Word 97-2003 Document"

                                                           iv.      Type a file name that includes your name (if not already done.)

    1. If you have a Mac computer:

                                                              i.      Type a file name with your name included, THEN  ADD ”.doc" to the end of the file name.

    1. If you have Office 2003:  just make sure your name is included in the file name
  1. Open your school webmail :  http://hswebmail.maryknollschool.org/exchange
    1. Log onto the server using your e-mail address (name@maryknollschool.org) and your e-mail password
    2. If you can't log into the server, or if the server throws you out….

                                                              i.      Download Mozilla Firefox from the internet. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

                                                            ii.      Try it again.

  1. Create a new mail message, attach your homework file, and send it.
